Welcome
to the Home of the Monmouth County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Incorporated. Monmouth County Alumnae Chapter was founded through
the bond and love of our glorious sisterhood formulated during the college days of our founding members. It is on their shoulders we stand committed to
their legacy, striving to use our collective strength to promote academic
excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need.
In June 1967, MCAC became the first chapter chartered south of Trenton, New
Jersey. This event started a series of many "firsts" in our community. The
first meeting was held in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Over the past 45 years we
have forged ahead with several community service programs, many of which were
also firsts in our area such as: Jabberwocks, Keeping the Dream Alive,
Tutorial programs, Music! Music! Music!, Delta Academy, and this year
introduced the Delta Academy Literacy Program. D.R.E.A.M.S. (Deltas
Reinforcing the Existence of Arts in the Middle School) was also initiated in
our area middle schools and winners were made public in April. Deserving high
school seniors from Monmouth and Ocean County have benefited from over
$200,000.00 in scholarship money during the historic span of this dynamic
chapter. Our commitment and dedication is evidence of the true
sisterly spirit and bond we have as awesome Delta women. Monmouth County Alumnae Chapter
